Taking care of the environment leads to resource sustenance and reduction in conflicts
At Faces
of Peace, we believe that sustainable development is critical for human survival
and health.
We believe
that there is need for everyone to plant trees, clean the environment and care
for it.
This is
the only simple way to honour people like Prof. Wangari Maathai .
Making peace
with environment by taking good care of it promotes ecological balance and
reduces conflicts over resource limitation such as conflicts over watering points
and pastures that are common in Africa.
In our
events, we insist that participants plant trees. So far we
have planted a number of trees in various
police stations and other areas across
Kenya.
